VANCOUVER - The Vancouver Canucks have sent defenceman Raphael Diaz to the New York Rangers for a fifth-round pick.
A source confirmed the deal to The Canadian Press.
Diaz came to Vancouver last month in a trade with Montreal that sent right winger Dale Weise to the Canadiens.
He played just six games with the Canucks, scoring a goal and adding an assist.
In 134 games with Montreal and Vancouver, the native of Zurich has five goals, 33 assists and 48 penalty minutes.
