Highway 97A in Sicamous area closed in two spots

Crashes have forced the closure of the Highway 97A between Mara and Sicamous in both directions at two different locations, according to Drive B.C.

One vehicle incident is between Mara Heights Road and Sicamous Creek Frontage for about 300 metres. This is two kilometres south of Sicamous. There is a detour in place via Highway 1 at Sicamous and Highway 97B.

The other incident is at Park Frontage and the end of Highway 97A for almost one kilometre in Sicamous. There is a detour via Main Street and Eagle Passway.

No word from DriveBC when either with reopen.
