KAMLOOPS - This week’s Kamloops weather can be summed up in three words — sunny and hot.

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning and Kamloops can expect sunshine and a high temperature of 35 Celsius today, July 16, and 36 C tomorrow before the mercury drops to 32 C on Wednesday and 33 C on Thursday.

Friday it gets down to a more seasonal temperature with a high of 27 C.

Normal high temperatures in Kamloops at this time of year are around 28 C.

The highest temperature ever recorded today, July 16, is 37.2 in 1958, so it's not likely that record will be broken.
