Peachland was chosen by Hallmark as the setting for a movie with an emphasis on love.

A Town Called Love is the working title and filming took place along Beach Avenue throughout the week.

“It’s just the perfect backdrop,” Dave Gramlich, transport captain said after completing the shoot.

Last night, Aug. 10, a full moon rose over the mountains while crews were filming.

“The way it was coming up over the mountains made for perfect shots. The lead actors were asking, ‘did you guys plan this?’” Gramlich said.

He became sentimental when asked what made Peachland the right place to tell a story about A Town Called Love.

“Love is everywhere, you just got to look for it, have the right mentality.”
