If you are looking to add a furry member to your family you may want to take advantage of a sale the B.C. SPCA is having this week.
From Sept. 27 to Oct. 6, the society is offering 50% off adoption fees for all companion pets and farm animals, with the exception of horses, to free up space for incoming animals, according to a B.C. SPCA media release.
“Many of our shelters are very full right now with animals seized or surrendered in large-scale investigations and our goal is to create capacity for these animals, while at the same time finding wonderful homes for the pets currently in our care,” says Lorie Chortyk, general manager of communications for the B.C. SPCA.
Chortyk said she encourages anyone who has been considering pet adoption to visit the B.C. SPCA website and view animals looking for loving homes.
“You will not only be providing a loving home for a deserving animal, but it will also allow us to create capacity for abused and neglected animals who urgently need our help,” she said.
Here's everything you need to know about the adoption process at the B.C. SPCA.
