KAMLOOPS - A tip about stolen property led police to several stolen ATVs and construction equipment in Tobiano yesterday.
Const. Jason Epp says Kamloops RCMP received information about stolen property at a residence on Colebrook Road in Tobiano, west of Kamloops. When they went to the address to investigate yesterday, July 9, they found several stolen ATVs and some construction equipment on the property.
Officers also found two unlawfully possessed firearms, soft body armour, additional stolen property and fraudulent identity items in a search of the property.
James Cousineau was arrested at the scene for possession of stolen property over $5,000 and is facing property and weapons related charges. He was set to appear in court today, July 10. A second man was arrested on an unrelated outstanding warrant.
The investigation is considered ongoing.
