KELOWNA - The music and libations are set to flow as the Great Okanagan Beer Festival gets ready for a three-day celebration in two months.
The beer festival is slated for May 9 to 11 in Kelowna. In a press release, the festival announced three BC-based bands that will take to the Waterfront Park stage on May 11 as part of the festival's Main Event.
Kelowna's own Ancient Engines will kick off the concert, bringing their experimental indie rock sound to the masses. Red Chair, a crowd favourite that has performed at previous festivals, will perform next. Six-piece band Small Town Artillery from Vancouver will close out the show.
As part of the May 11 concert, over 60 craft breweries will be offering more than 120 types of beer and ciders to attendees. The event kicks off at 12 p.m.
Partial proceeds will go to Natures Wild Neighbours Society. Advanced tickets can be found here.
