PENTICTON - It’s time to dust off those beer steins and iron the lederhosen’s because Oktoberfest is coming to Penticton this weekend.
Imported and local beer will be flowing and traditional german grub, including bratwurst and strudel, will be on hand.
The beer selection includes a varieties from Erdinger and Stiegl breweries in Germany, Cannery Brewing from Penticton and Mongozo Beers of Africa. There were also be wine supplied by Summerland’s 8th Generation Vineyard.
And don’t worry, the fun has been taken care of too. The Beerbarrels, a three-piece oom pa pa dance band, will be performing as will the Edelweiss Dancers from the Austria Vancouver Club.
The festival will be held at the Trade and Convention Centre on Saturday, October 18 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online.
