A wildfire that sparked yesterday morning near Kamloops is now being held by firefighters.

The Cole Hill wildfire, located near Goose Lake, is now being held at 33 hectares today, July 16, said B.C. Wildfire information officer Taylor MacDonald. When a wildfire is classified as being held, this means firefighters don't expect it to grow outside of its existing boundaries.

Yesterday, July 15, saw 10 B.C. Wildfire personnel, and two helicopters with assistance assisted by Kamloops Fire Rescue.
