This afternoon the district rescinded the evacuation order for the Bonaparte Plateau.

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District Emergency Operations Centre has been advised that the imminent risk of danger to life and properties in the area has diminished for now.

The Evacuation Order issued on Aug. 11, 2018 at 3 p.m. has been rescinded as of today, Aug. 25 at 2:30 p.m.

An Evacuation Alert will remain in effect for these properties. An Evacuation Order may need to be reissued if the risk of danger to life and property should become a problem again.
