KAMLOOPS –  A man was shot this morning and police want to speak to the helpful citizen who stopped to take him to hospital.

RCMP aren’t sure how the man sustained the gunshot wound, but do want to talk to the Good Samaritan who stopped some time between 6:15 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. today, May 16, picked up the victim and another man from downtown, and drove them to Royal Inland Hospital.

He is described as a middle aged, Caucasian man who was driving a brown truck, according to an RCMP media release. The man picked the two men up and said he was on his way to work.

Police are looking for more information on the shooting and the man who took the two men to the hospital. You can contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 with any information about this incident.
