PENTICTON - The Swedish rock band Ghost is making an Okanagan stop this fall on its North Amercian tour.

The Grammy award winning group will be rocking the South Okanagan Events Centre on Saturday, Sept. 21, according to a Spectra media release. The six-week Ultimate Tour Named Death includes only two dates in B.C., one in Vancouver and Penticton stop.

Ghost is acclaimed for its live performances with rich costumes, special effects and a spectacular light show.

Last year was a big year for the band, whose album Prequelle debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart, the release says, and it’s single “Rats” made it to number one on the Billboard mainstream rock songs chart for eight weeks, receiving a Best Rock Song Grammy nomination. The album’s most recent track “Dance Macabre” is the band’s third number one song on rock radio.

Three-time Grammy award nominated alternate rock band Nothing More is touring with Ghost.

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 5 at 10 a.m. and are available online at www.valleyfirstTix.com or live nation.com.
