PENTICTON - Oenophiles and curious neighbours alike are invited to get a glimpse of a new $100 million winery in Oliver, which will soon offer everything from the finest flavours of the valley to a 500-seat amphitheater.

Phantom Creek Estates spokesperson James O’Hagan says the winery will be hosting guided tastings by appointment beginning Sept. 1 to celebrate the completion of the winery’s first phase of construction.

The preview estate tour and tasting is open to all but is by appointment only.

The winery will be open for preview guided tastings by appointment Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Phantom Creek will complete the second and final phase of construction early next year, with a grand opening scheduled for April 2020.

The tour includes a look at the winery’s vineyards and ends with a tasting in the facility’s wine cellar.

To register for the sneak peek, see the winery’s website, or call 250-498-8367.

The $100 million winery is expected to hire 100 seasonal employees with a core staff of 45 to 50.

Phantom Creek Estates will contain such amenities as a modern, multi-level hospitality centre, an onsite indoor/outdoor restaurant and the seat amphitheatre.

The upscale winery is located 4315 Black Sage Road in Oliver.
