George Thorogood to play Penticton's events centre

PENTICTON - Get ready for a night of some rocking blues as George Thorogood and the Destroyers make their way to Penticton next year.

The band continues their Rock Party Tour into 2018 with an appearance at Penticton’s South Okanagan Events Centre Thursday, May 10, 2018.

Over the course of 40 year,s George Thorogood and The Destroyers have sold more than 15 million albums, including six gold and two platinum records, based on such hits as “Who do You Love?” “Move it on Over,” “One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer,” and “Bad to the Bone.”

Thorogood released his first solo album, “Party of One” earlier this year. The album made it onto Soundscan’s top current blues albums chart in the top ten, one of Thorogood’s fastest selling albums in two decades.

Some of the proceeds from the Rock Party Tour are being donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Tickets for the event go on sale Friday, Dec. 1.

Ticket prices are $36, $50, and $77.50.
