PENTICTON - You might want to consider filling up your gas tank in Penticton sooner rather than later.

Gas Buddy is reporting a 10 cent a litre spike in the price of gas this afternoon, May 31.

Most Penticton gas retailers listed on Gas Buddy's website are selling a litre of regular gas for $1.48.9 this afternoon, just in time for the weekend.

The Canco gas station at 1198 Government St. is still listed at $1.39.9, and the Petro Canada station in Kaleden is still selling for $1.38.9 as of 2 p.m., which is what most retailers were selling a litre for yesterday.

The Super Save station on Green Mountain Road is listed at $1.48.9.
