A West Kelowna winery is inviting a very special guest to show off, not his zombie fighting skills, but his whiskey knowledge at a bourbon tasting and meet and greet event this November.

Award-winning actor Michael Cudlitz who played Sergeant Abraham Ford in the AMC horror series The Walking Dead will appear at the Crown & Thieves winery for a special tasting event next month, according to a media release.

These unique events are becoming an annual tradition for Crown & Thieves, who hosted the Incredible Hulk, or more specifically actor Lou Ferrigno, to their exclusive event last year.

Cudlitz has spoken fondly about his affinity for whiskey at a comic con events.

On a chance meeting, he met local filmmaker Norm Coyne who was inspired to introduce the actor to winery owner Jason Parkes.

“Conversations like those always have a life of their own,” Coyne said in a press release. “Cudlitz started telling me about a speakeasy chain he owns and I was like, this guy has got to meet Jason Parkes.”

Cudlitz is already a co-owner of Red Phone Booth, a 1920s prohibition inspired speakeasy with multiple location across the U.S., including Nashville and Miami.

“Norm and I had already been talking about doing a bourbon tasting with a twist. This was just a perfect connect the dots opportunity for us to create a truly unforgettable experience,” Parkes said in the release.

The exclusive event will take place on Nov. 18 at 7:00 p.m.

Each ticket costs $150 and includes an autograph, professional photo and a bourbon flight.

Tickets are available to purchase here.
