RCMP executed a search warrant Wednesday at a Penticton home seizing drugs, cash and guns.

Penticton’s Crime Reduction Unit raided a home in the 1000-block of Government Street, Oct. 16, according to an RCMP media release.

“This enforcement action, supported by all members of the Penticton detachment, is expected to have a significant impact and the removal of crime weapons enhances public safety,” RCMP Staff Sgt. Scott Hanry said in the release.

The raid was the result of months of investigation.

Officers found an undisclosed amount of drugs, and cash, along with numerous firearms including shotguns.

Police arrested four people who were associated with the residence. RCMP didn't say if the people arrested are suspects nor if they face charges.

“Penticton RCMP are committed to ongoing efforts in reducing the demand for illicit drugs and prevalence of property crime through targeted, intelligence led prevention activities,” Staff Sgt. Hanry said.
