Foul play not suspected in death of missing Kelowna man

Ronald Junior “Turk” Turchinsky was reported missing by his family and friends on Aug. 25, 2020 after they hadn’t heard from him for a “number of days.” His body was found Aug. 28.

Kelowna RCMP have found the body of a man who had been missing since Aug. 25.

80-year-old Ronald Junior “Turk” Turchinsky was reported missing Aug. 27 though he hadn't been seen since Aug. 25 in the Vernon area. Police said in a release this morning, his body was found Aug. 28.

The death is not considered suspicious at this time but the B.C. Coroners Services is investigating to determine where, when and how he died.

No further information is being released, according to an RCMP news release.
