A winery in Oliver is hosting an iconic Canadian musician this summer for a musical evening in the vineyards.

Hall of Famer Steven Page, formerly with the Canadian rock band Barenaked Ladies, is performing at Tinhorn Creek Vineyard’s Natural Amphitheatre on Saturday evening, July 15.

Born in Toronto, Page is a musician, singer, songwriter and record producer who was a founding member and lead singer and guitarist for The Barenaked Ladies, but left the band in 2009 to go solo.

“Over the last thirty-five years, Steven Page has established himself as one of the most recognizable and enduring voices in music,” reads the winery’s website. “The release of his latest album, Excelsior, shows that he has no plans of slowing down anytime soon. Since its release, Steven has toured Canada, the US and the UK with The Steven Page Trio, and has performances planned well into 2024.”

Page wrote memorable songs for Barenaked Ladies like If I Had A Million Dollars and It’s All Been Done. The band sold more than 15 million albums and earned numerous awards. Page has since produced five solo albums including Excelsior, released last year.

Along with Chris Murphy (Sloan), Moe Berg (The Pursuit of Happiness), and Craig Northey (Odds), Steven makes up a quarter of The Trans-Canada Highwaymen, four lead singers of classic Canadian bands, whose first album of Canadian covers is set to be released in the fall of 2023.
