Five things to do this weekend in Kamloops

Get ready for an amazing weekend of events in Kamloops and we don't even need the weather to cooperate. Well, kinda. 

The hugely popular BrewLoops is back this Saturday and Sunday, May 25 and 26.

BrewLoops Cultural Development Society kicks off the summer season with beer, food trucks, live music and a new collaboration featuring the 2019 Southern BC FireFit Regional Championships.

The family-friendly Block Party and FireFit competition will take place in the Sandman Centre parking lot, allowing event goers to take in the sights of the beautiful Riverside Park and North and South Thompson Rivers. This free event runs from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. both days.

The ticketed portion of the BrewLoops Downtown Block Party runs from 6-11 p.m. on Saturday, including live music. Tickets are $25, plus taxes and fees. This event is 19+ & no strollers are allowed. Buy tickets at www.tickets.kamloopslive.com

SONREAL, the pop music sensation originally from Vernon, is coming to Kamloops Saturday, May 25 to present his Aaron's World Tour in support of his newest release The Aaron LP. 

To make the event more exciting, early entry and meet and greet packages are available which include; one ticket to the show, VIP early entry into the venue, exclusive preshow meet and greet with SonReal, personal photograph with SonReal, private and intimate pre-show acoustic performance by SonReal, CD copy of The Aaron LP autographed by SonReal, official meet & greet laminate poster, limited availability. Tickets are at www.kamtix.ca.

The 2019 BC Cup Natural Bodybuilding Championships and Fitness Show will leave you feeling inspired to get fit.

Natural athletes from across B.C. will be competing in bodybuilding, figure, fitness, bikini, physique and classic physique classes in order to place top three in their class to qualify for the August 4 Natural Nationals in Toronto. Check out the competitors Saturday, May 25 at The Rex Theatre, 417 Seymour Street, Kamloops.

Pre-Judging, the morning show, starts at 9 a.m., with finals starting at 5 p.m.

Get set to take in the sun and fun of the Kamloops Wine Festival May 24-June 1.

Wine lovers will be in heaven with the 21st annual festival which is about raising funds for the Kamloops Art Gallery. Throughout the week, taste local fine wines, dine at area restaurants and take part in six unique events. All Kamloops Wine Festival events are 19+

Hydra Performing Arts Festival will have you laughing, crying and thinking.

The Kamloops theatre, dance and music festival presented by Chimera Theatre in partnership with Actors Workshop Theatre, is in its second year. An exciting collection of 12 new works by Kamloops artists with a focus on interdisciplinary art and challenging theatrical form including comedies, dramas, burlesque, puppetry, and shows ranging from all ages to adults only, there's sure to be something for everyone.

All festival tickets are $15 and are being sold in advance through the theatre's box office (surcharges apply). Tickets will also be available at the venue with cash or credit one hour prior to each performance. The festival runs Friday, May 25, 25, 26, June 30 and 31.
