REGINA - The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed Canadian quarterback Brandon Bridge on Wednesday.
The six-foot-five, 225-pound Bridges joins the Riders after being released Aug. 1 by the Montreal Alouettes.
Montreal selected the Mississauga, Ont., native in the fourth round, No. 31 overall, in the 2015 CFL draft.
The former South Alabama star appeared in 11 regular-season games with the Alouettes, completing 26-of-40 passes for 282 yards and two TDs.
He also ran 18 times for 59 yards.
Bridge made his first CFL start Nov. 8, 2015, becoming first Canadian-born quarterback to do so since 1995.
