Family visits site where Fowler's remains were found

The family of CJ Fowler huddled together yesterday morning to grieve privately at the Guerin Creek site where her body was found.

"We came in and we went to talk to the RCMP and I asked them if I could view my daughter's remains before we bring her home," said Fowler's mother, Matilda.

Fowler said the visit was only for the day as they were headed to Vancouver early this morning.

"We (are) heading out soon, and I ask for family friends (to) please stop with fighting. Christmas (is) near and we need each other now…" she said in a Facebook update to friends and family.

Matilda has been vocal on Facebook updating friends and family throughout the investigation. She made several posts during her visit in Kamloops.

"I got to see my baby girl today. Oh how I was so hurt, yet I was strong and so glad I had support like my bro and Della and Glen, CJ's dad. I (am) also glad that Charleen and Shawn from the National Chief's were with us. I was glad I got to see my angel to say I love her and care so much about her and she (will) be dearly missed by many people in our life," she posted around 11 p.m. last night.

"My son, I know you are angry. Please let the police deal with it, OK? Love you very much and please take it easy," read a subsequent post.
