KELOWNA – Professional bull riders will be competing for some big prize dollars when the PBR Canada Tour comes to Kelowna in July.

The cross-Canada, nationally televised tour will see bull riders competing for $20,000 in prize money at the stop at Prospera Place in Kelowna Saturday, July 7.

Along with the chance to win some big bucks, the professional bull riders will be earning points toward the Canadian national standings, according to a media release. As well, the top point earners on the tour can grab a berth in the elite PBR: Unleash The Beast event.

The athletes will be riding the “rankest bucking bulls” from Canada and the United States, the release says.

Among the riders competing at the Okanagan stop will be B.C. hopefuls Jackson Scott of Kamloops and Jake Gardner of Dawson Creek.

Tickets, which range in price from $40 to $70, go on sale Friday, Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. online at SelectYourTickets.com.
