ELECTION 2015: Where the Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo candidates will be squaring off before the election

KAMLOOPS - If you’re looking for an opportunity to grill the Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo candidates running in October’s federal election, be sure to mark these dates on your calendar.

There are currently four more public all-candidate forums scheduled in the weeks leading up to the election Monday, Oct.19.

Thursday, Sept. 24, at 7 p.m. candidates will be in Clearwater at the Dutch Lake Community Centre.

Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 1 p.m. all candidates will be at the Centre for Seniors Information activity centre, 9A 1800 Tranquille Rd. in the Brock Shopping Centre Mall.

Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m. all candidates will be attending a media consortium hosted by CFJC-TV, CBC Radio and Kamloops this Week. It takes place in the Grand Hall at Thompson Rivers University.

Thursday, Oct. 15, at 9 a.m. candidates square-off for the last time at a forum hosted by Radio NL at the Plaza Hotel’s restaurant area.

The candidates running in the upcoming federal election are incumbent Conservative Cathy McLeod, New Democrat Bill Sundhu, Green Party candidate Matt Greenwood and Liberal Steve Powrie.

The official election day takes place on Monday, Oct. 19, with four additional advance voting days — Friday, Oct. 9 through Monday, Oct. 12.
