A mild end to February is bringing with it the promise of an early spring and that should make for some happy campers.
In fact, the Weather Network’s recent spring forecast is backing up that promise, with a prediction of a warm spring in Southern British Columbia.
With that in mind, Thompson and Okanagan campers will be eagerly looking for some warm spring weather and their first camping opportunities of 2020 in the coming weeks.
BC Parks Discover Camping reservation service indicates there are still some spots left at popular Okanagan parks over the long Easter weekend, which falls on April 10 to 13 this year.
Sites are still available at Bear Creek, Ellison, Fintry, Okanagan Lake and Kekuli Bay Provincial Parks, all of which are part of the province’s reservation service.
In the Kamloops area, Paul Lake Provincial Park still has some sites available but Lac Le Jeune has none.
