PENTICTON - A drunk driver investigation is underway after a driver hit a pair of buildings in Penticton late yesterday afternoon.

RCMP Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says officers were called to the Barley Mill Brew Pub at around 5:15 p.m., April 20, after complaints an erratic driver had backed into the building.

A short time later the same driver drove into a building at the Shielings Motel on Galt Avenue across the street.

The 55-year-old woman driving the vehicle was taken to hospital by ambulance.

She showed signs of alcohol impairment and blood samples were obtained for analysis, Wrigglesworth says.
