WEST KELOWNA - Three suspects are in custody after police uncovered a large cache of weapons and illegal drugs in West Kelowna on Sunday.

According to an RCMP press release, on July 28 West Kelowna RCMP searched at a property in the 3400 block of Old Okanagan Highway and a vehicle seen leaving the location. Police had been monitoring the property for a month as part of an investigation into alleged drug trafficking.

Police seize undisclosed amounts of cocaine, heroin, crystal methamphetamine and various forms of cannabis from the property. They also discovered a sawed-off shotgun, a pair of rifles, crossbows, bear spray, ammunition, batons and pellet guns, along with suspected stolen property and more than $10,000 in cash.

A 45-year-old man, an 18-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man, all from West Kelowna, were apprehended and face possible drug charges. They're expected to appear in court in October.
