Have the time of your life at 'Dirty Dancing in Concert' in Penticton

Dirty Dancing in Concert  is coming to Penticton.

Live musicians and a full-size cinema screen will be retelling “the timeless love story of Baby and Johnny,” according to a South Okanagan Events Centre media release issued today, May 8.

The movie was released in 1987 and is set in the summer of 1963. It starred Patrick Swayze as Johnny and Jennifer Grey as Baby.

“Audiences attending Dirty Dancing in Concert will experience the hit film in a unique and unforgettable way,” the release says.

“A complete screening of the digitally remastered film will play as a five-piece band and vocalists perform the songs live, in sync with the film. Stay for the encore party and continue to sing and dance along with the band to your favourite Dirty Dancing songs,” the release says.

The concert happens Nov. 4 at the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton.

Tickets go on sale Friday, May 12 through ValleyFirstTix. Ticket prices range from $37.00 to $92.00, plus additional fees.
