French rider Thibault Pinot wins 8th stage of Tour de France

BELFORT, France - Thibault Pinot of France has won the eighth stage of the Tour de France and Bradley Wiggins has kept the overall lead after conquering seven mid-size climbs as the race entered Switzerland.

The French rider won by breaking away from the main pack during a steep, final climb he overcame to win the 157.5-kilometre ride on Sunday from Belfort to the Swiss town of Porrentruy.
