COVID outbreaks have been declared at three more long-term care facilities in the Interior Health region.

These include the long-term care area on the first floor of the Heritage Square Facility in Vernon and the Sunnyside and Orchard units of Lakeview Lodge in Kelowna.

Both outbreaks were declared as of Jan. 11.

Yesterday, the Jade Unit, east and west, of the Brocklehurst Gemstone Care Centre in Kamloops was added to the Interior Health web page listing outbreaks in care facilities.

They join Kelowna General Hospital, The Hamlets in Vernon, Sun Pointe Village in Kelowna and Mount Cartier Court in Revelstoke as facilities with outbreaks in the Interior Health region.

There are now more than 50 care facilities in B.C. with COVID outbreaks.

There are no details on the Interior Health website about the number of people infected.
