FILE PHOTO

The Kamloops RCMP broke up a large party and fight involving roughly 100 youth last weekend.

Police responded to reports of  80 to 100 teenagers partying and fighting, May 21, at Macarthur Island.

One person was assaulted during the incident and another may have been threatened with a weapon, according to a press release from the RCMP.

When police arrived, many fled the scene. One youth was located with minor injuries and was reportedly hit by several people.

The RCMP is also investigating after threats were allegedly made at the same party.

Anyone who witnessed, or has information or video footage related to these investigations is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
