KAMLOOPS - The weekend was much cooler than what we’ve seen so far this summer but we will be back above seasonal normals by mid-week.
Temperatures reached 26.2 Celsius on Saturday and on Sunday the mercury hit only 20.4 C. Combined with the high of 25 C Environment Canada is calling for today, July 27, and this will be the first seven-day stretch since the beginning of May where we remained below seasonal normal high temperatures.
We can expect a mix of sun and cloud over the next two days and the weather office is calling for a high of 25 C today and then 27 C Tuesday before temperatures jump back up above seasonal normal highs of 29 C. The rest of the week will be in the low- to mid-30s and sunny.
While the last week has been on the cooler side the average high temperature for July so far is still just above seasonal normals at 30.8 C.
