Clouds, showers this weekend in the Okanagan

OKANAGAN - A weekend of showers and mild temperatures are expected in the Okanagan.

Temperatures continue to be unseasonably mild for this time of year, with highs on the weekend expected to reach into the high single digits.

Environment Canada is forecasting a mainly cloudy day in the Okanagan today, Nov. 23, with a few showers and a gust southwest wind and a high of around 10 C. Temperatures are expected to fall to approximately 4 C overnight with a snow level of 1,100 metres in Kelowna and Vernon, and 1,400 in Penticton.

Plan for cloudy skies tomorrow with a 30 per cent chance of showers in Kelowna and Vernon and a 60 per cent chance in Penticton. Temperatures are expected to remain unusually high climbing to 8 C during the day and down to 2 C overnight.

The sun is not expected to make an appearance on the weekend with rain and clouds predicted.

Environment Canada says clouds are likely on Saturday with a high of 5 C. Showers are expected overnight with the temperature falling to 3 C. Showers are likely to remain on Sunday with a high of 8 C and a low of -1 C.

Normal temperatures for this time of year are highs of 1 C and lows of -4 C.
