This month's full moon, nicknamed the Worm Moon, will be at peak illumination during the wee hours on Monday morning.
The Worm Moon rises just six days after the spring equinox.
The March moon is unique because it will be part of the first lunar eclipse of the year.

Overnight on Sunday, March 24, the moon will go into Earth’s outer shadow which is known as a penumbra.
It will take almost five hours for the moon to move through the outer edges of the Earth’s shadow where it could be mostly lost from sight depending on where one is viewing from, according to Space.com.
The forecast is calling for a mixed bag of weather in the Okanagan and Kamloops this weekend, but fingers crossed the sky will be clear enough to view the lunar eclipse.
