BC man ticketed for having no insurance on uninsurable vehicle wins retrial

It is my contention that any type of motorized mode of transportation whether electric or fuel powered, must be insured; and if insurance cannot be acquired, then that unit can only be operated off road. Also any bicycle using our road system should also be licensed and insured to help pay for the maintenance of all the new bike lanes that are being installed.

This just shows how ludicrousness the BC government is. There is no common sense there anymore and for this to go to court, we'll again, ludicrous.

Times are changing but the system isn’t.

Can you imagine how much insurance would cost for a "vehicle" like this? The question should be, do these types of vehicles belong on public streets at all?

BC tenant's sleuthing gets her $17,000 after Airbnb eviction

Well done but in my opinion the penalties should have been far, far higher. How are these liars ever going to learn otherwise?

Penticton Elvis Festival suing former director for online defamation

The act of changing passwords to accounts that the society clearly owns is an absolute testament to the poor decision making of Ms. Mackenzie. This conduct is not going to improve her position.

Two bodies were missed at B.C. death scene. Was treatment of coroners to blame?

I think it's about time governments hire independent auditors to go over ALL the books. Starting at municipal and ending at the federal level. Begin with salaries paid to elected officials, they do NOT deserve their current compensations which are padded by additional pay for each and every committee they sit on. BS that is part of their freaking jobs, additional pay should be abolished. All of those millions of dollars can be used to refund essential services which are being shorted due to lack of funding squandered by our currently elected officials of all levels.

BC senior fears for future of her mentally ill adult son when she dies

A terrible burden to carry for any parent with an adult child with high needs. There are many parents out there doing the absolute best they can but they cannot live forever.

Uncommunicative Vernon contractor loses after suing another customer

Well, their namesake character in The Chronicles of Narnia was also a very taciturn and uncommunicative Beast.

Kamloops mayor files RCMP complaint against himself

This is an obscene waste of public resources. Police complaints and subsequent investigations are not about "proving innocence". The police will never ever announce "our investigation has shown he or she was innocent of all charges" This mayor continues to waste public resources while carrying on like a child.
