RCMP investigators are still looking for witnesses to a serious collision involving a motorcycle and white Ford Explorer that they believe is linked to a shooting.

The crash occurred at approximately 3:15 a.m. Aug. 20, on Squilax Anglemont Road in Scotch Creek and it left the motorcycle operator with critical injuries. It happened shortly after a shooting along the same road in which a man suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Central Interior Traffic Services in Kamloops is looking to speak with the driver of the Ford Explorer, which sustained significant damage in the incident.

Police have determined that the driver of the Explorer rendered assistance at the scene and may not have been the cause of the crash. RCMP are also looking for the driver of a second dark coloured vehicle that stopped briefly at the scene before continuing with its hazard lights on.
