A Kamloops woman is facing four criminal charges after giving unqualified cosmetic procedures.
Jessica Noelle Earthy, born 1979, allegedly posed as a medical professional running a cosmetic business out of her home. Police started investigating claims of botched procedures more than two years before she was charged.
She first appeared in court in December 2024, accused of defrauding multiple people, including four named victims, according to court records.
In addition to the fraud charge, she is facing three counts of assault causing bodily harm. Court documents do not specify the circumstances, but the three victims are likely to have been clients of Earthy's home-based esthetics business.

The extent of their injuries isn't known, nor is just how much money Earthy is alleged to have defrauded from them.
Earthy's former business, Red Square Medical Aesthetics, posted information about medical procedures like Botox injections to social media throughout 2022, along with photos of clients before and after their appointments.
The last post on Aug. 10, 2022 announced plans to expand to Salmon Arm. One week later, Kamloops RCMP arrested a woman and searched the home where an esthetics business was based.
Police said they were investigating "fraudulent medical services" and had heard from several people who reported "botched" procedures, though investigators believed there were more victims that hadn't yet come forward.
Red Square has since closed permanently and its website is no longer active. Earthy's name wasn't publicly associated with the investigation until she was charged just over a month ago.

iNFOnews.ca reached out to Earthy and two of the named victims. The victims did not respond and Earthy's lawyer, Danielle Ching McNamee, responded to say her client would not comment on the matter.
Since the arrest Earthy has started another business unrelated to the medical field. It's not clear what, if any, medical training Earthy has, but she is not registered with either the BC College of Nurses and Midwives or the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons.
RNs, LPNs and licensed doctors are qualified to perform cosmetic operations in BC like Botox and lip fillers.
The College of Physicians has issued several news releases in recent years related to unauthorized Botox or other cosmetic injections, though they often follow court actions. The College of Nurses, meanwhile, occasionally issues warnings to the public when a person is posing as a nurse and advertising medical services. Neither regulator lists a notice for Earthy or Red Square on their websites.
Spokespeople for both regulators responded through email, but they did not comment on whether they have investigated either Earthy or Red Square.
Earthy is due to appear in Kamloops Provincial Court again next month.
