Celebrate ‘Winter Magic’ at the Gellatly Nut Farm

For the first time, the heritage hazelnut grove at Gellatly Nut Farm Regional Park will be lit up to celebrate the winter season!

You’re invited to join in the inaugural ‘Winter Magic’ event in the park located off Whitworth Road in West Kelowna. Saturday, December 16th between 2:00 and 4:00 pm decorate a tree in the hazelnut grove. There will be craft tables set up that day to make ornaments and indigenous style decorations. On Sunday there will be other craft and seasonal activities available!

After dark both days from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, the grove will be open for public viewing and enjoyment. As well, the whole family’s welcome to enjoy hot chocolate and refreshments under the warming tent.

Make the Gellatly Nut Farm Regional Park part of your festivities this season and come marvel in the magic of the season!

This event is free and you don’t have to register. If you wish to bring your own ornaments please make sure they are suitable for outdoor conditions. Please do not bring any glass ornaments or keepsake ornaments that are important to you as we cannot guarantee their safety. Ornaments may be retrieved after December 17th.

There is limited parking available in the Nut Farm parking lot, so carpooling is definitely encouraged with friends, family and neighbours. We ask that people attending please obey our on-site traffic control people, watch for them and pedestrians so that everyone is safe.

The nearby Cove Lakeside Resort is making overflow above and underground parking available for ‘Winter Magic’ participants. The resort is hosting a ‘Selfies with Santa’ event (bring your own camera) on Saturday, December 16th from 2:00 – 6:00 pm in the resort lobby for cash donations to assist with sponsoring families through the Westside Community Foodbank.

There's also limited on-street parking in the area, so please be aware of and follow any parking restrictions/signage and please don't block our neighbours driveways.
