PENTICTON - RCMP continue to investagate a number of thefts in the South Okanagan last week.
RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says an orange car dolly was stolen overnight Nov. 22 from G and N Auto, Ninth Avenue in Okanagan Falls. The unit was chained to a business fence. The same trailer had previously gone missing Aug. 2 but was recovered from Penticton Speedway on Aug. 8.
Police are also looking for some specialized equipment after a worker with Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations reported a remote sensing camera, hard case and accessories stolen sometime between Oct. 18 and 19. The unit had been set up on the Arawana Forest Service Road near Naramata.
An unoccupied but running 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme was stolen from the Clarke Freightliners yard on Dawson Avenue around 1:50 a.m. on Nov. 24. The driver had left the vehicle unattended to warm it up and when he returned it was gone.
Police continue to investigate a break and enter at an Eastside Road home between Nov. 22 and Nov. 25. Firearms and ammunition were stolen during the break-in.
