TORONTO - Scott Dixon posted the fastest time in the final practice at the Honda Indy Toronto on Saturday.

Dixon held off while the track dried after a morning downpour before running a time of one minute 0.3841 seconds in just six laps ahead of the afternoon qualifying session.

Ryan Hunter-Reay, who is looking for his third straight IndyCar victory, was second at 1:00.3940, followed by Simon Pagenaud in 1:00.6065.

Canada's James Hinchcliffe finished a lap for the first time after engine troubles kept him mostly off the track during Friday's practice sessions.

The Oakville, Ont., native had the seventh best time at 1:00.8141 but will be handicapped for Sunday's race after being penalized 10 grid spots for changing his engine Friday.

Alex Tagliani of Lachenaie, Que., also held off for a dry track and posted a time of 1:01.3930 on just six laps. He will also started 10 spots back of his qualifying spot for an engine change.
