CanWel posts profit of $5.3 million, revenue grows on sales, market conditions

VANCOUVER - CanWel Building Materials Group Ltd. (TSX:CWX) had a second-quarter profit of $5.3 million, or nine cents per share, compared to $2.6 million, or four cents per share, for the same period last year. The company says improved market conditions for construction materials, coupled with improved sales of treated wood, helped revenue grow to $207 million from $205 million a year ago.
