COLDSTREAM – A body was found in Kalamalka Lake near Vernon Saturday morning and RCMP say the person’s death isn’t suspicious.
Police were called to Rattlesnake Point in Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park around 11:50 a.m., Aug. 8.
The body of a 67-year-old man was found in the water.
“It does not appear this death is suspicious in nature,” Vernon RCMP Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy says in a media release. “The BC Coroners Service has taken over investigation of the file.”
RCMP have not released the man’s name or hometown.
