Blue sky forecast for Okanagan, Kamloops into October

There’s nothing but blue skies and sunshine ahead in the forecast for Kamloops and the Okanagan into the first week of October.

However, today, Sept. 29, is expected to be mix of sun and cloud with a high of 25 Celsius in Kamloops and 24 C in the Okanagan.

The Environment Canada forecast calls for highs of 26 C in Kamloops through Monday before falling a couple of degrees later next week.

Normal highs for Kamloops for this time of year are 18 C with overnight lows of 6 C. The forecast lows for the next week range from 11 C to 13 C.

It’s a similar story in the Okanagan with a high of 25 C expected on Friday then 23 C to 24 C through into late next week. Lows are forecast to be in the 10 C to 13 C range through to later next week when they are forecast to drop a to 8 C.

Normal highs for this time of year in the Okanagan are 18 C with lows of 5 C.

AccuWeather, which offers longer range forecasts, is a little more negative, showing mostly sunny through next week and a 55% chance of showers on Wednesday, with clouds moving into the region by the Thanksgiving long weekend.
