Friday, August 30, 2013 at Kelowna Rockets – 4-3 Loss

Mitch Lipon finished with a goal and an assist, but the Blazers fell short in a 4-3 loss to the Kelowna Rockets. Aspen Sterzer gave the Blazers a chance late in the game scoring with 1:40 remaining. Taran Kozun went the distance in goal. Click here for Recap.

Sunday, September 1, 2013 vs. Vancouver Giants – 4-3 Win

Cole Kehler was outstanding in his first taste of WHL action making 41 saves as the Blazers went on to win 4-3 in overtime. Tim Bozon scored twice for the Blazers and Nathan Looysen scored the game winner 53 seconds into overtime. Click here for Recap.

Verveda and Looysen sign with Blazers

The Kamloops Blazers have signed 17-year-old forward Nathan Looysen to a standard WHL contract. Follow this link to read more about Looysen.

JC Lipon Signs with the Winnipeg Jets

After hearing his named called at the 2013 NHL Draft by the Winnipeg Jets, JC Lipon has signed an entry-level contract with the Jets. The 6’0” and 187lb forward is in Winnipeg for his first NHL training camp. He will likely play in the AHL with the St. John’s Icecaps this season. To read more about Lipon, follow this link.

Friday, September 6th – Kamloops vs. Kelowna, 7:00pm ISC
Sunday, September 8th – Kamloops at Vancouver, 3:00pm Bill Copeland Arena
Saturday, September 14th – Kamloops at Prince George, 7:00pm CN Centre

Season Ticket Pick-Up
Season Ticket holders will be able to pick-up their season tickets this Friday, September 6th from 5:00pm – 7:30pm in the Parkside Lounge. The Blazers also encourage season ticket holders to check out the Blazers final home WHL preseason game which starts at 7:00pm against the Kelowna Rockets on Friday night.

If you can’t make it on Friday night, tickets can be picked up at the Blazers Box Office during regular office hours from 9:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday any day after September 6th.
