VANCOUVER - Police are hunting for a suspect after a series of violent robberies and carjackings in Richmond and Vancouver Sunday evening.
It began with a home invasion in Richmond at about 6 p.m. where a resident was stabbed and a car was stolen. About an hour later, that vehicle was involved in a head-on collision.
The suspect fled the scene and allegedly tried to rob a man at a bank machine before crossing the street to a gas station where a second vehicle was carjacked.
The driver received minor injuries, but was able to escape with his wife and two children, aged 7 and 10, who were in the back seat, before the suspect drove off.
The suspect is described as white, early 30's, six-feet tall with a heavy build. He has a light goatee with stubble, short brown hair and was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
Police are looking for a 2002 grey four-door Honda Civic and BC licence plate 360-SGR.
