KELOWNA - With a new album set to release in June, the Barenaked Ladies are ramping up for yet another Canadian tour this fall.
The SILVERBALL tour will kick-off in Prince George on Oct. 19 before hitting the Interior Savings Centre in Kamloops on Oct. 24 and Prospera Place in Kelowna on Oct. 25. In total 20 Canadian dates are scheduled. Alan Doyle, of Great Big Sea fame, will tour with the band.
Already known for hit singles One Week, The Old Apartment, If I had $1,000,000, Brian Wilson and more, the Juno award-winning band is ramping up for the new album. Several songs from the new album are already available on Spotify and others will be made available on iTunes prior to the June 2 release of the album.
“Say What You Want is a celebration of letting go,” Ed Robertson of the iconic Canadian band says of the album’s first release. “It's about feeling confident, and realizing that you can't control what other people do or say, you can only control how you react to it.”
The band will also be touring in United States this summer as part of a different tour. They stopped in Kelowna for a charity event last September.
Tickets go on sale Friday, May 1, at 10 a.m. More information on ticket bundles and VIP packages is available on the band website.
