Be careful in high terrain over the next few days.
Avalanche Canada has a considerable warning for all elevations in the North Columbia, South Columbia, and Kootenay Boundary regions.
The considerable warning means that natural avalanches are possible and human-triggered avalanches are likely to occur.
Avalanche Canada recommends low angle, low consequence terrain to lower the risk of avalanches.
They also recommend choosing conservative lines when walking and watch for clues of instability.
The warning will persist throughout the regions until Friday evening at the earliest.
The area covered by the avalanche warning is in orange.
