KAMLOOPS — Kamloops police are investigating an alleged armed robbery that took place in the wee hours of the morning.

Police say this happened at about 1 a.m. this morning, April 14, in the area of University Drive and College Drive.

The victim withdrew himself to a place where he could call 9-11 and not be physically harmed.

Shortly after police arrived, accumulating a heavy police presence in the Thompson Rivers University area. Police could be seen wearing tactical vests and carrying patrol rifles, in response to the firearm allegation.

The three suspects are described as men in their mid 20's, Caucasian, and were wearing black clothes at the time. They were last seen going north along the Summit Connector on foot.
