Armed robbery at Enderby liquor store

FILE PHOTO

A liquor store in Enderby was robbed last night by a possibly armed man who was wearing a bandana over his face.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m. yesterday, Dec. 23, RCMP officers responded to the scene of the robbery at a liquor store in the 700 block of Cliff Avenue.

RCMP say a man entered the store dressed in a black hoodie, track pants and with a blue bandana on his face. He threatened staff with what is believed to have been a handgun. After demanding money, he fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and goods.

"Although responding officers were unable to locate the individual, a detailed description of him was provided, which will aid in our investigation," Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP spokesperson Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy in a media release. "We are glad to report that no one was injured as a result of this incident."

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Enderby RCMP at 250-838-6818, leaving an anonymous tip by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or by leaving a tip online.
