The Canadian Armed Forces will be conducting training of their reserve units in the Lac Du Bois area near Kamloops later this month.

Members of the British Columbia Regiment, the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada, the Royal Westminster Regiment and 39 Service Support Regiment will be undergoing combined arms training in the Lac Du Bois ORV from Thursday, Oct. 26 to Sunday, Oct. 29, according to a CAF media release.

Noise from the firing of blank ammunition will be heard by nearby citizens, the military said. Night training might also be observed but all road safety conditions will be maintained during night tactical movements.

An increase in traffic around the area is to be expected as well as the setup of a large administrative camp.

Health and safety measures will be maintained at all times through the adherence to the armed force's Layered Risk Mitigation strategy, guidelines from the Public Health Agency of Canada, and guidelines from municipal and provincial health authorities.
